Trevin Wax Talks About Fears, Bullying, Writing, and More

Trevin Wax is the Bible and Reference Publisher at LifeWay Christian Resources. He is one of my best friends. He convinced me to start this blog. I coach him as a blogger/social media user. He used to be my boss (for like six months). Susie and I had dinner with he and his family at their place Monday night.

All of that to say: we have history.

Trevin has a new book out called This Is Our Time. It’s a great book. I had the privilege of reading the chapters as he wrote them over the course of the last year or so and provide any feedback I had. It was cool to see the book in its early stages and then as a finished product.

If I interviewed Trevin about his book, he would provide tremendous insight and it would be fascinating.

But in my experience, very few people read or watch interviews about books.

Instead, I wanted to ask Trevin a bunch of personal questions about things he has never talked about on his blog or anywhere else. So, yesterday afternoon, I went up to Trevin’s office, set up a microphone, and we just talked.

I didn’t want our conversation to feel like an interview, so I didn’t give him any of the questions beforehand. What did I ask him?

Were you a good student?

Did you ever get bullied in school?

What does a typical day look like in the life of Trevin Wax?

What is your biggest fear in life?

And more.
